Beware of Fraudulent Emails, Phone Calls and Text Messages!

Updated Sept. 22, 2008
We are aware that several members (and non-members) have received text messages and automated phone calls requesting account numbers and personal information. These messages appear to be from Co-op Services Credit Union, but have actually been sent by a fraudulent third party in an attempt to trick our members. Please be advised that Co-op Services Credit Union will never ask for personal information in an email, text message, or automated phone call.

Do not provide account numbers in response to emails, text messages or automated phone calls. These are fraudulent requests attempting to trick you into providing account information. If you provide account numbers in emails, text messages, or automated calls you are exposing yourself to fraudulent activity. Again, do not provide personal information in emails, text messages or automated calls.

A good rule to follow is to never provide sensitive information unless you initiate the contact. Please continue to report all fraudulent activity to us at abuse@cscu.org, or report abuse to us at 800.321.8570, ext. 200.
